SAVANNAH, GA – December 6, 2016 – Join Ogeechee Riverkeeper for Pint Night at Green Truck Pub, 2430 Habersham St., on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 from 5-11 p.m.
Green Truck Pub will match any personal donations made by patrons as well as donate $1 for every draft purchased that night to Ogeechee Riverkeeper. Pint Night will feature drafts from Sierra Nevada Brewery out of Asheville, N.C.
The donations received will go toward helping Ogeechee Riverkeeper accomplish its mission to protect, preserve and improve the water quality of the Ogeechee River Basin. Since Ogeechee Riverkeeper was formed following a merge between the Canoochee Riverkeeper and Friends of the Ogeechee River, the organization has focused on initiating educational campaigns to raise awareness of pollution, addressing illegal pollution discharged into the river and working to increase enforcement of environmental laws. ORK has also partnered with the Georgia Water Coalition to ensure clean water and protection of area natural resources.
Green Truck Pub was founded on the premise that the Savannah community deserves a casual place to eat and drink well while benefitting the local economy by “shopping local.” The Pub has been voted ‘Best of Savannah’ the past six years in a row.
“We are so excited for Pint Night and couldn’t be more grateful to Green Truck Pub for hosting this event,” Ogeechee Riverkeeper Emily Markesteyn Kurilla said. “This will be such a great way to get the community involved and interested in the mission of Ogeechee Riverkeeper. The craft brews offered, paired with Green Truck’s legendary menu, will give patrons a tasty way to support us.”
