Fall Festival
Join ORK for an upper watershed community day at Ogeechee Crossing Park in Louisville. This fall gathering is open to all. ORK invites local residents, environmental enthusiasts, and community leaders to celebrate our shared commitment to protecting, preserving, and improving the water quality of the Ogeechee River basin.
Enjoy a free lunch: We’ll be grilling hamburgers from Hunter Cattle and hotdogs, and have chips and sodas for everyone to enjoy.
Ogeechee Riverkeeper Education Booth: test your skills with our ‘Know Your River’ matching game and explore a small-scale version of our innovative litter traps that protect local waterways
Disc Golf Meetup: players of all abilities can learn more about the sport, meet some new players, and enjoy a fun 18-hole course. Bonus: The first 50 participants will receive a free custom Innova disc!
Kids Yoga Journey to the River: get silly—and active—with Liz from Soul Rebellion Yoga as kids of all ages “become” the friendly animals that inhabit our waterways. Please bring a mat, old towel, or sheet to provide a buffer from any harsh ground cover.
Guided Nature Walk: join Riverkeeper Damon Mullis for an introduction to river ecology and the importance of the flora and fauna of the Ogeechee River Basin.
Face Painting: kids of all ages can add a bit of color and whimsy with face painting by Paige Lamb.
Ogeechee Riverkeeper Swag Booth: check out our new ORK hats, along with logo t-shirts, dry bags, water bottles, stickers, and more!
No RSVP needed. We hope to see you there!
