Georgia Water Coalition Announces 2015 Dirty Dozen

2014 Dirty Dozen logoGeorgia Water Coalition’s “Dirty Dozen” list highlights the worst offenses to Georgia’s waters.

The Dirty Dozen, which launched in 2011, shines a spotlight on pending threats to Georgia’s water as well as state policies and failures that ultimately harm – or could harm – Georgia property owners, downstream communities, fish and wildlife, hunters and anglers, and boaters and swimmers.

The Georgia Water Coalition publishes this list as a call to action for our state’s leaders and its citizens to correct pollution problems, eliminate the wasteful use of our state and local tax dollars and restore our streams, rivers, lakes and coastal waters.

The Georgia Water Coalition is consortium of 229 organizations working together for healthy waterways for current and future generations.  Ogeechee Riverkeeper is a proud partner and has served on the leadership team for GWC since 2003.
