POSTPONED UNTIL JUNE 1.
Due to the weather forecast, this event has been moved to Saturday, June 1. All the other details remain the same.
Volunteer for the Hinesville Community Cleanup, as a part of the Great American Cleanup through Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation.
Gather your friends and neighbors for a cleanup at Bryant Commons Park. Supplies will be provided. Please wear outdoor clothing.
Volunteers must pre-register and meet at the designated supply pickup/drop-off spot. Additional event details will be emailed in advance to registered participants.
This is also a partnership event with Keep Liberty Beautiful & the Hinesville Downtown Development Authority.
At 156 acres, Bryant Commons is the largest park in Hinesville. All of the storm drains in downtown flow into the three ponds at the park. These ponds drain into the Thesis Creek, into Peacock Creek, then into the Atlantic Ocean. Sometimes during heavy rain events, a lot of litter enters the park via the waterways. Coordinating periodic litter pickups is important for water and wildlife health.

The Great American Cleanup prompts individuals to take greater responsibility for their local environment by conducting grassroots community service projects that engage volunteers, local businesses, and civic leaders.
