This is a lower watershed paddle between Landings 26-1B on the Canoochee River. This is a 6.1 mile trip / ~ 4 hour paddle, with a lunch break about half way.
This intermediate level paddle is not advisable for novice paddlers or those with physical conditions which may limit their ability to negotiate potential hazards such as fallen trees, swift water, portages, etc.
Participants *must* provide their own gear and vessels. Personal flotation devices are required. There are no outfitters available to rent gear or vessels.
There is no cost to attend but participants should bring their own lunch and water. Pre-registration is required. Anyone who arrives without pre-registering will not be able to participate.
Put-in is Landing 26. Vehicles will be shuttled to the take-out spot at Landing 1B.

Free to ORK members. Pre-registration is required. Paddlers who show up without pre-registering will not be able to join the event.
Gear/Equipment: Participants can provide their own vessels and gear or rent them from Moon River Kayak: $40 single, $55 for tandem-limited. Non-boat gear rental: $5-10-only if needed. Please contact Moon River Kayak directly, in advance, to reserve gear.

Guests will paddle a total of about four miles on the 412-acre mill pond, with views of the circa 1880 mill house as well as a trek on some more challenging ‘pinball’ trails through the cypress trees.
The guided tour will start at 10:30 a.m. and will do two separate loops in opposite directions, stopping back at the same boat ramp for a picnic lunch break. Paddling will be finished by about 2 p.m.
The state park requires a $5 parking pass for each vehicle. Guests are welcome to bring their own canoe or kayak. A limited number of kayaks are available to rent from Mill Pond Kayak.
